The American Evangelist
This page is dedicated to my
precious wife Tricia.
In July of 2000 I told my wife that the Lord wanted me to be a preacher, evangelizing the
lost, equipping the saints, and seeing the church reproduce myself. Evangelizing,
teaching, and serving in every capacity in the local church was nothing new for us.... but
to be a preacher? a pastor? She mustered up the spiritual remark most wives probably
give:
"You must be mistaken".

It didn't take long for her to recognize that God truly had called me to preach. After seeing
God's supernatural hand in my surrender, she stated to me: "If God has called you, then
He has called me too, and I'll follow wherever He leads you". This submission has cost
greatly. We have had economic disasters, times of great trial, and times when people
have hurt us very badly. Yet, whether I am pastoring a church or preaching across the
country side, my wife supports me 150%. We are a team.

Tricia is also a wonderful writer, who chronicles life in her blog The Domestic Fringe. God
has truly given her the gift of writing. She has a large following of readers, and I look
forward to the day when she publishes her first book. If you need a good chuckle, please
visit
The Domestic Fringe and read about the reality called life!
